This is a kit to make one working thumb latch, such as you might find throughout an old cottage or on the attic room doors of a large house. They were used in and out doors.
 
The kit is supplied with the appropiate number of 4mm nails.
 
They are made of brass but treated to look like old iron. They can be painted - but with particular care on the hinge itself so as not to stop it working. While they are workable, considerable care is required in both their installation and handling as, at this scale, the items are very delicate.
 
These, as with all my range, are intended for a reasonably experienced modeller equipped with the usual range of tools such as jewellers drill and micro chisel. They come with instructions.
 
The door in the pictures is intended as an example - and not for sale - but I can make these on a commission basis.
 
All items are tested before despatch - but I will accept the return of any item that fails through a defect in manufacture.
