Handmade in the UK, this a working window stay and fastener for a casement window, such as you might find in a Victorian cottage or house. It works exactly the same as the full size version. The set is supplied with the appropiate number of 4mm nails. They are made of brass but treated to look like old iron. They can be painted - but with particular care on the hinge itself so as not to stop it working. While they are workable, considerable care is required in both their installation and handling as, at this scale, the items are very delicate. These, as with all my range, are intended for a reasonably experienced modeller equipped with the usual range of tools such as jewellers drill and micro chisel. They come with instructions. The window in the picture is intended as an example - and not for sale. All items are tested before despatch - but I will accept the return of any item that fails through a defect in manufacture.
